Privacy Policy
Designer Digital (Designer Digital) respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect when you use designer.digital, how we use it, and your rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
Information we collect
- Contact form data. When you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email, phone (if provided), business name, project type, budget, timeline, and message you supply. This data is used to respond to your inquiry and is forwarded to our internal CRM.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs including IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used for security monitoring and performance analysis. Retention: 30 days by default.
- Analytics (Vercel). We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and site performance. It does not set advertising cookies and does not track individuals across other sites.
- Advertising & conversion tracking (Meta Pixel). This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. It loads a script from Meta and sets cookies in your browser. When you visit, it sends Meta information including your IP address, browser and device (user-agent), the pages you view, and events such as page views. We use this to measure how our advertising performs, understand which visits lead to inquiries, and reach similar audiences. This data is processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. under Meta's Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and provide quotes for project work.
- To deliver agreed-upon services to clients.
- To improve our website and services through aggregate analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with: (a) service providers we use to run our business (email delivery, CRM, payment processing), each bound by contractual confidentiality; (b) Meta Platforms, Inc., which receives the browsing data collected by the Meta Pixel described above for advertising measurement and audience building; and (c) where required by law.
Cookies
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel described above sets third-party cookies in your browser that are used for advertising and cross-site measurement. We also use a small number of essential cookies for site functionality (e.g. preview mode for development).
You can control or opt out of advertising tracking through your Meta ad preferences, the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.ca, and through your browser's cookie controls.
Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers whose own privacy practices apply to the data they process: Meta (Facebook) Pixel for advertising and conversion tracking, and Vercel for hosting and aggregate analytics.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to request access to your personal information, request corrections, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us at contact@designerdigital.ca.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained in our CRM for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 3 years) for accounting and contract reference.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we do our best to apply current best practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the website.
